Despite major challenges, GERRY WEBER puts considerations of sustainability into practice even through a complex, global supply chain. Due to the fashion company’s restructuring, more efficient structures have been introduced and the purchasing department reorganized. The number of different suppliers has been reduced, optimizing the supply chain. The consequence of this is a significant rise in efficiency as well as cost savings and increased value creation in the supply chain.
Measures spanning the environment, energy and social management have been successively expanded within our textile supply chain. The GERRY WEBER Group ensures social and working standards. This action is constantly being expanded in order to reduce water consumption and avoid the use of harmful chemicals to name but two goals.
