Despite major challenges, GERRY WEBER puts considerations of sustainability into practice even through a complex, global supply chain. Due to the fashion company’s restructuring, more efficient structures have been introduced and the purchasing department reorganized. The number of different suppliers has been reduced, optimizing the supply chain. The consequence of this is a significant rise in efficiency as well as cost savings and increased value creation in the supply chain.
Measures spanning the environment, energy and social management have been successively expanded within our textile supply chain. The GERRY WEBER Group ensures social and working standards. This action is constantly being expanded in order to reduce water consumption and avoid the use of harmful chemicals to name but two goals.
At GERRY WEBER, we assume responsibility both for our own employees and for the employees of our suppliers. We support the latter in achieving compliance with human rights, social standards and labour laws and ensuring fair wages.
Environmental protection and nature preservation as well as the responsible use of natural resources play an important role in all corporate decisions of the GERRY WEBER Group.
Our good reputation is one of the most important assets of our company and the basis for our long-term success. This is why we want to do more than just comply with internal and statutory regulations.
