GERRY WEBER International AG is committed to corporate citizenship both on a regional and on an international level.
Our existing partnerships with academic institutions such as Hochschule Niederrhein, our long-standing sponsorship of wertkreis Gütersloh and Bodelschwinghsche Anstalten Bethel in Bielefeld as well as our support of the Good Hope Center in Tanzania are examples of our commitment to society.
Viva con Agua
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we started charging 10 cents per plastic bag on 1 June 2016, which has helped cut the use of plastic bags by over half. In early March 2017, the company took yet another step towards sustainability and introduced paper bags on which a fee of 10 cents is charged. GERRY WEBER uses the proceeds from the sale of the plastic and paper bags to support Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. A non-profit organisation from Hamburg, Viva con Agua is committed to giving people permanent access to clean drinking water and supports water projects around the globe. The projects funded by Viva con Agua are implemented professionally and transparently by organisations such as “Welthungerhilfe” as well as local organisations.DROP MAGAZIN
At GERRY WEBER, we assume responsibility both for our own employees and for the employees of our suppliers. We support the latter in achieving compliance with human rights, social standards and labour laws and ensuring fair wages.
Environmental protection and nature preservation as well as the responsible use of natural resources play an important role in all corporate decisions of the GERRY WEBER Group.
Our good reputation is one of the most important assets of our company and the basis for our long-term success. This is why we want to do more than just comply with internal and statutory regulations.
